Our Mission

Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” We believe by presenting the Word of God to children in an exciting and fun way we will lead them into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We also believe teaching children about ministry is not enough. By involving them in service to others through effective ministries that they enjoy, an allowing them to see their importance in the body of Christ, they can know that Jesus is working through them right now! Children are not just the church of tomorrow; they are the church of today!

Meet Our Children’s Pastors

Pastor Marty & Anna Hoey

Marty and Anna have been serving as our children’s pastors since 1995, although Marty has been employed at Crossroads since 1990. Under his leadership, our children’s ministry has seen exponential growth. Marty has also been featured as a camp and conference speaker on both the state and national level.

Anna not only works full-time as Marty’s right hand, but she has also served our church in other areas, as a receptionist, women’s ministry director, and pastor’s secretary.

Marty and Anna live in Carencro, LA, and they have three adult children and nine grandchildren. The Hoey family enjoys spending time together, visiting historic homes, movies. Marty likes old cars, and Anna likes going to antique shops.

We understand that Kids are all about fun! Some would say it’s their occupation in life! If they aren’t having fun somewhere, then they generally move on to something or someone that will facilitate fun! Our goal at KJAM Children’s Ministry is for every kid to have fun while learning about God!
