During the month we celebrate our independence as a nation, we remember the stars and stripes. It’s interesting that we refer to the American flag as “Old Glory” because the former glory of what we once were as a nation has been forfeited by the godlessness we now embrace. We need a new Independence day where we claim our deliverance from the tyranny of the Principalities and Powers that have a stronghold on our culture. Fallen angels are often referred to as “stars” in the Bible and God has given us authority over them in Jesus Name. God’s Word still gives us the promise that if we humble ourselves and pray and seek His face our land can be healed. It is the stripes on Jesus back that paid for that healing and it’s those stars and those stripes we need to be focused on today!
