At Crossroads Church, we believe the Church should lead the way in celebrating the rich beauty of God’s diverse creation. That’s why we are inviting our entire community to a special Juneteenth Celebration Service on Sunday, June 22 during our 9AM & 11AM worship experiences.
What is Juneteenth?
Juneteenth, observed annually on June 19, commemorates the day in 1865 when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. It’s a day that marks not only the end of slavery in the United States but also the ongoing journey toward justice, equity, and freedom for all people.
It is a time to remember, reflect, and rejoice in the victories of the past while also committing ourselves to a future shaped by love, unity, and truth.
Celebrate Diversity – A Core Value at Crossroads
World, have you ever thought about what causes so much discord and strife? So many people only want to be around others just like themselves. But God is a Creator—and He has made humankind to be wonderfully different, unique, and varied.
At Crossroads Church, one of our core values is to celebrate diversity. We believe the differences among us bring out the best within us. Diversity isn’t something to merely tolerate—it’s something to honor and cherish because it reflects the creativity and glory of God Himself.
When the Bible describes Heaven, it reveals a place filled with people from every race, tribe, and nation worshiping together in harmony. And Jesus taught us to pray that God’s will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. That means we don’t wait until eternity to live in unity—we pursue it now.
A Soul-Searching Challenge
So we must ask ourselves:
Does someone have to look like me to be loved by me?
This question challenges the walls we build and the assumptions we make. It invites us to love the way Jesus loves—without conditions or borders. In a world where division seems to come so easily, the Church is called to be radically different: a family where all belong, and love is not confined by sameness.
Join the Celebration
Our Juneteenth celebration is more than a special event—it’s a step toward God’s vision for His people. Together, we will lift our voices in worship, hear testimonies that inspire, and be moved by a message rooted in truth and grace.
🗓 Sunday, June 22 🕘 9AM & 11AM 📍 Crossroads Church | 150 Verona Dr. Lafayette, LA 70507
Come ready to celebrate freedom, embrace diversity, and live out the prayer: on Earth as it is in Heaven.
There’s no influence quite like that of a mother. From the earliest moments of life, a mother’s presence offers comfort, strength, and a sense of security that shapes a child’s heart in ways words can hardly express. Whether it’s whispered prayers over a sleeping baby, wise guidance through teenage years, or simply the steady presence in the highs and lows of life, moms are often the unsung heroes of our stories.
Mothers carry the weight of nurturing not just bodies, but souls. They teach us what love looks like in action—through patience, sacrifice, and unconditional support. Their influence reaches far beyond childhood, impacting generations to come. Whether biological, adoptive, or spiritual, a mother’s legacy is built in quiet moments that leave a lifelong mark.
This Mother’s Day, we want to honor and celebrate the incredible women who shape our families and our faith. We invite you and your family to join us for a special Mother’s Day service at Crossroads Church on Sunday, May 11, with services at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
Let’s take time together to thank God for the moms in our lives and celebrate their immeasurable impact. You won’t want to miss it!
“Last time I saw Jefferson, I prayed for him to walk again.”
Tuesday afternoon I heard from our El Salvador team leader, Hannah, who told me of the hundreds (yes, hundreds!) of people who have already given their lives to Christ this week, as well as the miracles they’ve experienced so far. Hannah sent me a photo of Jefferson from this week, and excitedly told me, “He is standing, walking, playing soccer!”
Not only did God work a miracle in Jefferson’s life, but He was so sweet to show Hannah the fruit of her prayers all this time later.
Would you continue praying with us for our El Salvador team? Pray that the Lord would continue setting up these divine appointments for miracles and encouragement to take place; for everyone’s hearts to be open to Him; and for our team to stay healthy, safe, and united as they continue to share the Gospel this week!
Are you eager to make a difference in the world? Join us on March 16 at 9 AM for a special Missions Q & A with our Outreach Pastor, Robin Price. This meeting is an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in serving both locally and globally through our church’s missions programs.
Pastor Robin will share details about Missions Experience Trips, where you can engage in life-changing ministry in different cultures. Whether you’re drawn to travel abroad or serve right here in Acadiana, there’s a way for you to make a meaningful impact.
In addition to global missions, Robin will highlight local outreach opportunities in our community, where you can help those in need with support, encouragement, and love.
This session is open for all questions, so bring any thoughts or curiosities about missions and outreach. Pastor Robin will offer insights and guide you toward the best ways to get involved. We hope to see you there!
